That makes a lot of work while setting it up, but it's definitely worth it. After all, if you want a windows machine to work "properly" (Whatever that may mean) you'll have to spend hours an hours of maintenance, defragmenting, re-installing, ...
I had to do that a couple of weeks ago. The first thing I did when my machine was "working" again was to order a Linux distribution from Amazon.

Not at all, Hati ...
As opposed to a Windows-installation (in my own mostly bad experience) the Linux thing runs almost all by itself.
It's been only a couple of days that I use Linux, but everytime I have to switch back to Windows I feel like being out in the cold without coat and hat.
