Dancer (put your advert here)

I was away for a while - and people (for some unexplained reason) wanted to know what happened in my life since. I'll try to be brief - so this post will be readable.

I'll try not to babble too much about anything. if anything catches your eyes - ask and I will expand.

I've just started my 3rd year in med school. I recently took up rock climbing. I live with my girlfriend (and to be hones - probably my future wife). I study Russian (not an easy trick to pull). I still work as a computer programmer (for a company doing computer vision application and hardware for the automotive industry). I hate my car. I cook more then I used to (And am apparently not too bad at it). I still dance. My father had a CVA and now can not feel touch on one side of his body.

There's probably a lot more - but this is the major things that come to mind at the moment.

3rd year IS pretty busy, but there's a strike at the moment (Of the university lecturers) - so we only have a few classes a week at the moment.

I think if you manage to go through the day calmly - you can manage to fit quite a lot in a day (even more in a week)

It does sound busy but then I remind myself that in the last year I got married, moved country, got a number of jobs, took charge of the state LoCo team of volunteer ubuntu advocates; did some graphics work, attended more musical events then I care remember, kept programming dohickey project and still had time to drink tea and complain to myself about how lazy I was being.

Having a lovely wife has helped a lot.

So It's good to hear your al'right Dancer.

smiley - tea is always welcome, but I like to munch on some bourbon creams or jammy dodgers which I can dunk in the tea.

It is nice to keep busy... I enjoy having new hobbies all the time - even if I can't put as much time into them as they deserve.

DoctorMO - You got married? Congratulations smiley - bubbly

I thought of reviving the programmers' corner. what do you think?

It's really great to get so much done Dancer (and anyone else here who also gets a lot done)!

I *know* I'm lazy and I accept that about myself! Nevertheless I also enjoy doing stuff. Every morning when I get out of bed, I would like to stay there a bit longer ... but when I get busy, I get 'into' the work and enjoy it.

Dancer, the programmers corner was great, although it kind of needs direction and purpose.

If I was to do it, I'd set up clear goals about supporting new programmers, answering questions and a projects section for programmers join in.

Anyway, yes it's an interesting suggestion.
