The problem you might run into with tangerines is the skin is rather thin so you may have some vodka spillage...

colleague of mine once made a vodka-jelly. he was supposed to fill it with fruit gums, but used ammonium chloride pastilles instead. talk about alcohol abuse. i get sick just by reminiscing

it's a danish speciality. danes eat enormous quantities of ammonium chloride, usually in liquorice pastilles. we are holding the world record. no other countries even come close
