What's Legacy?

Y'know... postings from Rupert that hadn't come out of moderation yet.

I've got all my stuff from July 1999 back again.

Took that long to clear Moderation? Man...

No, they just hadn't gotten that far back yet. I think last I saw, they were up till about May 2000...

This is just rather nice for me cause there was a specific old forum from way back when that I was reading right before Rupert - and never finished getting through till today.

Who's Rupert by the way?

Er, the time when h2g2 was down because of negotiations with the Beeb - like from February 2001 till March 2001.

Oh. I must have missed the naming of the down time Rupert. Oh well. How are you?

Not bad all in all. I had a very relaxing weekend as the roommate was away in DC visiting a friend, and I had no work to speak of... but I'm really looking forward to Thanksgiving break and Christmas break even more.

Yeah, I'm looking foreward to the break. No school or work. I can just sleep all day, and hopefull not be interupted anytime try to do something. I sure could use the vacation from these pesky students.

I've had something of a hellish semester so far - so I'm looking to getting as far away from this place as possible.

Yeah. It's pretty cold in here, still at wk... Makes me wanna go hibernate.

It's absolutely frigid here - and refuses to snow.

Wasn't there supposed to be some kind of, like, green-house effect raising temperatures?

Doesn't matter much when you're in the mountains - except you get this weird effect where it's freezing in the morning and sometimes up to 80 by 2pm.

That is weird. I've never lived in the mountains, though.

It's a pretty typical phenomenon - you wake up, put on three layers of clothing, and are down to shorts and a t-shirt by noon.
