Greetings from the bucollic county of Clarion. We have finally gotten rid of all the snow and can inspect our new digs. Lambs are gamboling in the fields. Have you heard that the Olympian Bruce Jenner who won the Decathalon has come out as transgender. He is still transitioning but recently had a long interview with Barbara Walters after someone leaked his adam apple surgery. He is a conservative so this should put the cat among the pigeons in the GOP who are a bunch of troglodykes when it comes to any minority or equal rights on any front. Some states are trying to fine people for using bathrooms of the gender they identify with. But the Supreme Court hopefully will make marriage equality the law of the land this summer, at lease Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be pushing for it but some of the other members of the court are not yet with the year of the fruit bat. I thought maybe you could do a guide entry on Jenner. All of his wives were aware of this and were quiet about it. His last one says she'll still love him for all his traits of courage and bravery that he has always had. I think the Huffington Post might be a good place to look for quotes.

I have seen the news about Bruce Jenner, as I'm a member of a group on Facebook and several interesting links have been shared, including details of the interview. Like many of the people in the group, though, I'm not sure what to make of the situation yet as the story is still developing, but I'll keep following the news and certainly will consider a Guide Entry

I have also seen the news of the "Bathroom Bills", and they are concerning, not least because if eg a transman were forced to use the "Ladies" I'm sure some people would still object... I'm lucky in the UK that almost all accessible toilets are gender neutral. There are also more gender neutral standard toilets around, but many of them start life as neutral and then get gendered later on because some people seemingly can't cope with not knowing which of two neutral toilet stalls to choose!

The GOP is one of our two main political parties here. It is more a club for overpriveliged white men who are afraid to share. At one time it was an honourable party ---when it backed President Lincoln but that has been too long ago. They are sort of like your yahoos over there who want to cut benefits to the poor so they can line their own pockets with more money. Well have a nice weekend there!

That pic in Vanity Fair was amazing. Well toned olympic atheletes just have cool lookig bodies however gendered they are! SHe has the money and the connections that maybe will reach to the more ignorant lotbut if things improve for all people there is no down side.

Have you ever seen a sweet little movie from 2014 called 'Boy Meets Girl' from 2014? It is very good, but I'm worried that you might need to watch in in closed captioning on Netflix, because the authentic Kentucky dialect might baffle UKers. Worse than 'Trainspotting' in parts which is a shame because the dialog is so frank and funny.

No, I haven't seen the film Boy Meets Girl... I looked at the synopsis, and it does sound an interesting subject. I think the film itself might be a bit much for me, though, as the trailer wasn't easy to watch... I presume it is 15 or 18 rated, but I couldn't find the rating offhand.
