Yo Mr E! It's me, the little kid who can't keep up with your knowing of the bass! Thought I'd point out in your entry (great, by the way)that you forget to mention perhaps the most obvious thing about the bass: to play one, you have to pluck it.
So obvious, everyone's overlooked it. Well, I for one never knew that until so long ago (yea, I'm that young!) A list of v. famous bass players might be a nice ender for the entry. You obviosly know plenty. I can name Jack Bruce, Paul McCartney and Steve Harris.
Hope it helps!

Good point. I'd actually avoided the subject of how to play the bass, but that might make a good entry itself.
Mike A (snowblind) Posted Oct 25, 1999
Any idea of who'd be willing to write the entry? I've only been playing for about a month and a half so I'd only be able to drop bits in, albeit a good plenty bits. Don't suppose you know anyone who's ready to write? I suppose I could get down to it myself at some point, and have other people helping me along the way. What do you think?

Yes . . . those poor editors must be going nuts trying to keep up.

Reminds we, there's some new approved entries with only 4-figure numbers on them. I wanna read those...
Yesterday I found an official entry with a 3-figure ID (whatever you wanna call it). And this weekend, my History of Eric Clapton got approved. Hurrah!

Using a fairly standard rig (Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble, Vol and a "deep" switch) any ideas how to get the thing to "growl" please.
Ashdown Perfect 10 mini rig - 65 watts 2x 10inch cabs and Squire Jazz bass.
