hey Mina/I dare you/,
I am a graduate student studying the h2g2 website and its community, as a part of my coursework in a class called 'online communities'. While browsing through discussions here, I got interested in your conversation about 'ignoring a person on h2g2' topic, in which I found your ideas very relevant to my research.
Upon following your *interesting* membership history at h2g2, I thought you can contribute very positively in my research by talking about your views and experiences on h2g2 communities. For more information about my study, kindly go to U1297534 (my Personal Space).
If you are willing to talk about your experiences on h2g2, I would be very grateful. Please email me at madhur[AT]cc.gatech.edu, or leave a msg on my page.
Thank you!
Madhur.

I manage communities for a living, and I am not interested in giving you the benefit of my experience for free.
Students going round the site 'spamming' the members in this way is extremely bad etiquette and I am offended. We come here to talk, read, and contribute, not be disturbed by bad mannered individuals who leave email addresses and so don't even appear to have the courtesy to come back to check replies.
You should leave people alone.

Hi Mina,
I'm sorry for offending you in any way. But it was totally unintentional. I left my email address in case you were not comfortable in replying back publicly.
I hope that clarifies,
Madhur.
