I've got all there studio albums exept into glory ride and sign of the hammer. I hope they release a new album soon. Have you seen Hell on Earth part III?
:-)
Metal_Messiah Posted Jan 20, 2004
Those two albums are worth picking up, Sign Of The Hammer definately. There's a new album in the works right now actually so hopefully that'll be out soon...
Only seen Hell On Earth part I...s'well good. I remember dragging loads of people round a mates' house to watch it...when the lesbo dancers appeared I realised my mate's 12-year old sister was right in front of the TV...she seemed to take it quite well

Laban9 Posted Jan 23, 2004
That was like the best part of the movie!
But I think part III was the best of the two(haven't seen part II yet).

I'd definately consider getting the other Hell On Earths...but I wanna get the Hell On Wheels and Hell On Stage live albums too (cos they're the only ones I ain't got) and wonder if one will end up with ManOwaR live overload... ^_^

Just too much live stuff. I got that a bit with Iron Maiden. Live After Death, A Real Live Dead One, Rock In Rio albums (and I am familiar with Live At Donington), plus Live At The Rainbow, Raising Hell & Rock In Rio tapes & DVDs (plus live footage on 12 Wasted Years and The Number Of The Beast DVD) plus Maiden Japan EP plus many live B-sides...just a bit over the top

You wont belive this, but I've never actually come around to hear that much of Iron Maiden. I am planning to though. I've heard "Mother Russia", that was so cool! And I wonder, is "Fear of the Dark" also an Iron Maiden song?
:-)
The Iron Maiden Posted Mar 18, 2004
Yeah, Fear Of The Dark is a Maiden classic. They are definately worth checking out proper - the self-titled debut or The Number Of The Beast are good places to start. I honestly can't recommend them enough (not that I'm biased!)

I have now spendt my time listening to Iron Maiden. My personal favorite is Wickerman. Now that is a "fest" song(fest is norwegian for pary, but I really don't think it's quite the same). Me, my friends and some other partisipants had a "fest" and got really drunk(I drank absolutt kurant, taste like shit), and me and my friends started yelling "Your time will come".
Metal is neither Vorspiel or Nachspiel music. It kicks f****g ass! So you have to put it on during the "Fest", there is no other option. There is no better "fest" music.
Metall makes us strong!

Fest = party, right? I couldn't agree more. I have fond memories of when me and my mates used to hole up at one guy's house over the winter, getting drunk and listening to Brave New World (somehow Gehennah ended up getting played just as frequently!). The Wicker Man also makes a class concert opener. The house lights go out, the intro music starts...then stops, and thn Adrian Smith appears out of nowhere playing that riff. The rest of the band kick in, and the song starts flying and everyone goes mental. Fantastic!
You'll have to translate Vorspiel and Nachspiel for me, it has been years since I studied German
Heavy Metal is the law that keeps us all united free, a law that shatters Earth and Hell! Heavy Metal can't be beaten by any dynasty, we're all wizards fighting with our spell!

Vor means before and Nach after. I'm not german, but we say it anyway, I thought it was widly used.....
Spiel is translated play or game or party....I think.
Vorspiel, the party and nach spiel are usually located at different places. It's like this: You sit around at some place, at a friends house or something, and then you start drinking. At this point it is essential to have good background music. Neither Manowar or Iron maiden is very usefull at this point seeing that they need to be played loud(louder than hell). When your lickered up you go to the pary, ready for a good time. The party kicks total ass loud music, hot chicks(at least they look hot when you're drunk). Now Manowar and Iron Maiden does their part. And when you finally get tired, or the party is over, or get enough, or you simply start feeling the hangover settling down on you. Then it is time to go somewhere else with peace and quite. Some are sick and some probobly want's to sleep. It is now essensial that you play som slow, soft music. Something you can sing along to. Air supply f.ex.
Forever carry on!

Ha ha ha! That is killer, and so true! And probably why I haven't been to that many parties lately, as I insist that the loudest and proudest Heavy Metal be played at the time, no question about it! I haven't been asked back to one guy's house since I forced everyone to sit through my Judas Priest video while insulting the girl one of my mates was seeing. She was so annoying. Ah well, no great loss there, they all drink like girls anyway!

Ha ha ha!
What a buch of wussies!
There is a party tonight and a party tomorrow. Hopefully I will be going to one of em. The problem is, I don't really want to travel far to go to a party. The party that starts tonight is about an hour away with buss, so...... I don't know what I'm going to do, but I really need to get drunk this weekend. I had a math test that went strait to hell. I probobly got like 20% right answeres(maby not even that).
I should have gone to trade school like some of my friends, or maby even drop out. No, forget the last part. Those of my friends who have dropped out are full time loosers! They've got a shitty jobb, and sit home the rest of the day, trying hoplessly to play a half decent metallica song. Hell! Almost all my friends do that!
:-)
The Iron Maiden Posted Mar 26, 2004
Heh, I think I can relate to your friends I'm nearly finishing doing my A-levels and even the damn petrol station down the round won't give me a job! My mates flipping burgers in McDonalds are ten times more loaded than I am!
Trade school sounds like the equivalent of college over here. I'm mildly jealous of my mates who went there. They may not have gotten great GCSEs but they're doing damn well for themselves, and certainly have more money than I do. I need to get another band together pronto else I'm gonna be skint!
I can't imagine having to go busing for an hour to a party, man. 10 minutes down the round is my usual, any further and it had better be a damn good party! Anyway, I'll drink to you tonight - exams are always problematic and depressing and the best solution is always a big stiff drink and some loud music!
