Hi there!

In the time I've been on h2g2, a lot of new people have signed up and joined the volunteer schemes.

There was a time when I knew everyone by name, but that's impossible as this grand experiment continues to thrive.

So I've decided to pay a visit to each Researcher in the various volunteer schemes and say 'hello'.

Hello!

That's all really. Just passing through! smiley - winkeye

Hi Jimi - thanks for the greeting! I joined around October last year, when it was a MUCH smaller community - the same names used to appear time after time in forums. Quite a bit different nowadays!

I was in a forum the other day and somebody referred to people on-site before 2000 as 'dinosaurs'. Funny, but I don't feel cold-blooded - how about you? smiley - winkeye

Maybe we need the art team to give us some dinosaur smileys...

Dinosaurs were around for a few million years longer than mankind is likely to be! All in all, they were quite a successful design - relatives of theirs exist in pretty much an unchanged form, so perhaps it was meant as a compliment? (I think not!)

And yes, I do feel cold blooded. Its ******** freezing here and the radiators have just packed up again. I'm just going to cheer myself up by having a brisk walk around the campus wearing t-shirt and jeans and laugh at all the foreign students from really hot countries who will be wrapped up in 20 layers of clothes and still shivering.

Hey ho, an arrogant dinosaurs work is never done!

We're finally getting our first taste of cold weather here in Pennsylvania - mid-40s for highs and below freezing at night. All October it was in the 60s and 70s. Didn't feel a bit like Autumn until the end.

*starts roaring and bothering vegetarian dinosaurs around the site*

HI Bob, I've been away a while -
managed to get your On Again On Again pages printed at last!!! ta muchly

Being a palaeontologist, there's a lot of research being done at the moments which suggests that dinoasurs may have been warm blooded,
Ian.

I haven't been doing much at H2G2 as I have been very busy with a wild social life. I had always suspected that dinosaurs may have been warm blooded - otherwise how did birds descend from them? I am still struggling with "On Again" - undecided how to do the breaks. Messed around with it at a mates house, seems to be going OK. It just makes me realize what a grat musician Jake was!

Well, that makes two of us!,
I have just about got the words down, It will get its first public airing at the Dartford Folk Club Christmas party on Tuesday 18th Dec, I am faking the breaks with loads of diminished triplets, sounds good enough to me....
cheeers, have a good one.
Ian.
