Just who does this guy think he is?
I am a New Zealander, but like most of my fellow kiwis of my age (27) I am not in NZ. I spent 6 months travelling through SE Asia during the Asian financial crisis (cheapo travelling, and able to witness history in the making) and a season snowboarding in the Japanese alps. I have been in England since June, and after spending a couple of months relaxing by the sea in Devon, I came to London to experience living in a crappy, over priced flat, being jammed into the tube every morning and evening, drink a pint of beer that could sustain life for a week in Indonesia.... But for all of that, London is a fantastic place to live, with so much going on all the time, it is nightmarish if you have no money, or are trying to save. Luckily I am weak willed and trying to sample all that London has to offer.
My interests: Snowboarding, mountain biking, scuba diving, tennis, films, wine (esecially superb NZ wines!!) and travelling. I also have a long held interest in Japan, having lived and studied there, and majored in Japanese at university.
Why am I called Doc? I became famous for my well stocked medical kit that helped many fellow travellers in the past (but fortunately little used on myself).
