I know how big Canada is, thank you Nick. smiley - winkeye If I remember correctly, Ben's rolling meet was going to take in some of Canada as well. They had quite an ambitious schedule.

smiley - wow No matter how you look at it, one country or traces of both, it easily looks like several weeks and a LOT of driving. I'm becoming intrigued. smiley - evilgrin

It would be fun. It would also be expensive. You'll need to start buying those lottery tickets.

Yes, no and maybe. Our better car is fairly economical over distance runs. And proper B & B's, Ma and Pa thingies, are not that bad yet.

And if you, Sir, have the nerve to ask, you can be sure that a town and street address is available. As is the guest room, if you can tolerate a couple of typically insane cats. smiley - laugh

Yes, Canada is a big country, but isn't a fairly high percentage of its population located within about 150 or 200 miles of the U.S. border? I'm not trying to imply that the U.S. is any kind of benchmark, it's just that large metropolitan areas are hard to maintain in places where it's 50 degrees below zero 8 months of the year smiley - biggrin. Though, God knows, there's a big city built on permafrost in Siberia, where it hit 80 below zero one time. They tried to beat the odds, but the state was also heavily subsidizing them....

I have always been beyond terrible with history and geography. But as I remember it, the core of Canada began along the St Laurence River (sea-way) ... and then just kinda went due west. That probably isn't far from the 49th parallel thingie. It may be as much happenstance as design that the two countries border that line.

Or was it an evile plot of Billy Gates, with an integral time-control feature of Windoze-2207 ... Reverse engineering of what should have been ... A single isle off of Newfoundland, known as Nickdom !!!

smiley - rofl

What you need, Rev, is a book on geography, to bring you up to speed. Tbere's a new one, put out by the Onion, called "Our Dumb World." It manages to be quite amusing, as well as informative. smiley - winkeye

That actually looks like a pretty cool book. AFTER the Christmas rush, and if the wallet heals, I may order one in from Amazon ...

Right then, ... in the last 24 hours we have seen the temperatures soar, rains that have melted weeks-old ice, then winds that shook our bungalow. Now, at 4 am, slow lazy snow showers.

What's the weird and wild world doing in your respective corners and locations, to bring on Christmas?
