Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear }

I honestly don't know what's going on. Apparently, an h2g2 journal had something to say, which pointed to stuff in my LiveJournal. And then the h2g2 journal vanished. When another questioned the "how come?", she was referred to my PS and the LJ again. All very smiley - weird and unknown.

The evening and week-end look to be mostly quiet. I have to step out to buy some smokes in a short while. And we'll build a couple of salads for our annual "New Year's" do ... Milady and I are both ex-Air Force, and members of a chapter of the Air Force Association of Canada. The annual do is a dinner and dance, the dinner being "pot-luck". And so the cost of admission is very little, just about enough to pay the music. And really a great load of fun.

I've spoken plainly and civilly of what little I know. And have no intentions of responding to anything 'provactive', should it occur. So it may prove to be a very brief, one-sided business, eh?

Have either of you any plans for greeting the new year?

I know that purl is a common knitting-stitch, but it always makes me envision Hawaiians, down and prodding around the coral ... Looking for just the right clams. smiley - doh

I meant that I tried the knitting thingie. For some reason, the teeny clams in the fresh-water creek behind my house didn't offer up any pearls. Just guck. smiley - laugh

I'd asked my Dad, a well seasoned farm lad in his own right. He said that if you had enough, they might make a meal. But be prepared for that meal to try rushing out of both ends, very fast and simultaneously.

I decided not to be too daring. smiley - doh

I like a good cider I dont think you can beat a proper English quality cider. There must be some in Canada or North Americia. Do you get English beers over there as well I would love to try som Canadian brews.smiley - smiley
