Hiya, Lady. Have a seat, a glass of white wine (our preferred) ... Supper is in about 15 minutes (11:30 UK time)

As a single lad (the first time) I drank a lot of different . But around the time I was the age of, ... oh ... say a young chemistry-teacher-to-be ... my tastes were expired. I now like a light to medium dry white. For enjoyment, not effect.

A couple of months ago, our liquor retailer had a new wine ... Pinot Grigio !!! We used a little in our Christmas Eve cooking spree, and quite liked it for sipping. We have two in a spare fridge, and two glasses on the table.

In our listings, it's a "2" for dry, and very pleasant. Not deep inhaling stuff, but dinner and social stuff. Oddly, even with that name, it's German.

Here, about the bottom of that scale. About $14 Canadian. A good price, and very nice. We aren't so "posh" as to look for the pricey, named stuff. We simply like what we like.

i tend to go for jacobs creek or hardys. two very good brands here in england and produce very nice medium to ry wines.
pinot grigio is perfect with a meal. wouldnt be my choice for an evening drink without food. prefer something a little sweeter then

It's been a lot of years since I had wine other than with a meal. Even then, I never much liked it too sweet.

Have either of you met any Ontario wines? They are fully comparable with any of the Californians ... Though not usually as full flavoured as a Rhein-wine.
