The Tiny Worm

Not a literal worm in this case, gifted as I am with more appendages and intellectual facility than is generally associated with wormhood. Not that it is for me to conjecture about the internal life of other species but even if the average worm is in possession of a considerable intelligence, it is difficult to imagine how, given the aforementioned dearth of appendages, they would be able to express this by any other means than their usual burrowing habits. Perhaps a group of worms might be able to arrange themselves into the depiction of written language, but given their lack of any obvious communicatory organs such an effort would be hard to co-ordinate. I suppose an individual worm could attempt to spell out letters by itself. Indeed perhaps they are and no-one has yet noticed. I will dedicate some time to further study, although it seems likely they will favour excessive pluralisation. . .

I am in fact a human male. Not something to write home about perhaps, but I can at least that can write something.
