How does God think?

You mentioned in your personal space introduction of yourself "Thinking like God thinks" and "Whatever it is, it's fun and I love the mystery about it. Do you love it too?"

and i have to say what a great goal and yes, i do love it too smiley - smiley

i am not sure if you can access this streaming video but if you can you can see what i found recently that made me think... ah this is how God's mind works smiley - magic

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2013533182496749803&q=fractals&total=6832&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=2

if you cannot stream video then here is wikipedia's explanation of a mandlebrot fractal and... scrolling, about half way down the page, to 'Image Gallery of a Zoom Sequence,' you can see the progressions.

also here is a neat thread on fractals, F2124165?thread=4586738 where Gnomon and Dogster explain very well how they work.

The math is interesting but what really caught my eye and mind was viewing a zoom sequence of a fractal... that's where i felt i was seeing thru God's eyes.

Even if I don't get to know how God thinks in general, because it must contain thoughts about all that exists and all that doesn't and if there is any other state of being(?)...for now I want to know how God creates good things in human life!

They say it's easier to solve a problem if you take out a smaller part of it and try to find an answer for that one...

So I want to stumble on this piece of wisdom first!!

//Thank you for the fractals link, I don't know what it is that is so fascinating about fractals. I couldn't watch the video due to poor bandwidth here but may be you could explain to me if you saw any "pattern(s)" in the way God thinks smiley - biggrin?

thanks for writing!

i think the wikipedia link i gave you up ^ there shows a nice sequence of still images of a mandlebrot fractal (about half way down the page)

i cannot explain if i saw any patterns in the way God thinks... i can only say when i look at fractal zooms i get a feeling of how, IF there is a God, how that God would think.

I could finally watch the Mandelbrot Fractal video on youtube -- it's captivating, gave me the feeling I used to have when I would stare at the night sky filled with myriads of stars, when I was small.

There is an ancient Sanskrit (the ancient language of India) poem that says something like - 'the same in an atom's smallness as it is in the vastness of the universe' makes me wonder if our entire world is just a self-similar structure everywhere in the guise of chaos...wonderful!!!

thanks so much for pointing me to that video!!

-smiley - ok
