why do you want to feel instead of think as God does? because it is possible God doesn't have any feelings like we humans do?
creation and destruction I hear is driven by inspiration more than feelings...but I am an amateur on these thought

Personally, I find inspiration coming in the form of feelings, so I can't quite subscribe to the idea of separating thought from emotion.
The Jewish theologian Abraham Heschel described that which set the prophets apart from other humans as 'pathos', which he defined as the ability to feel what God felt when he looked at humanity. I share that view.
I believe that human emotions are but a pale echo of the love that is the author of it all.
