My head would actually explode. And I think possibly hers would as well. No I've just managed to involve them in the same twitter thread.

Well, well, well... I had no idea Swedish crime literature was so popular overseas:

I'd say the Swedish TV series based upon some of those books are pretty good too. But then, I'm bi... bia... biased?

Sorry I've been absent of late (I usually lurk professionally).
J indicated an interest in archery, which came as quite a surprise to me. So for xmas, I obtained bows for both of us. We used them for the first time on Saturday, and I was able to actually reach the target fairly reliably (if not all that accurately). Considering I hadn't used a bow in excess of 20 years, I felt happy with that. J seemed to like her gift as well, and I hope we can continue doing this activity with a little bit of coaching to get better at it.

*thinking she should really try archery in RL since the bow and arrow is one of her favourite weapons in RP*

J used to watch Xena, which piqued her interest in the sport. Reading Hunger Games didn't hurt much either. I decided it might be a fun activity we could do together.

It's something that Mr Vip and I have on our once-we-are-financially-secure list. It's a very long list though...

I think it must be four years ago that I tried crossbow shooting. I kept failing to flick the safety switch and jamming it and one of my bolts hit the wrong target.

Have we invited Dmitri or IcyNorth to the Atelier yet? That might stop them from posting too many interesting journals...

Ti, I wanted to tell you...
A family friend (the person who taught me to drive 26 years ago) has offered to give me his two old Saab 96en. Some time this spring I will arrange to pick them up and transport them to my town. I have big plans to re-create a rally car similar to the car driven by Carlsson på taket.

I should put this in my journal (I probably will) but I thought I'd say it here first, in case anyone's interested.
For my birthday gift, tom has informed me that we will be starting a savings account specifically for a trip to the UK for the both of us.
That is all.

minichessemouse - Ahoy there me barnacle! Posted Dec 31, 2013
All things being considered I actually wasn't too bad at archery last time i tried.
R and I had a good christmas at my sisters. Still trying to find homes for some of the influx of new toys that a birthday and Christmas created. The mega blocks seem to be a hit though!
We have our router for the internet after a slight detour thanks to us both putting in the street ne rat&er than the post code go google maps. Now i just need to wait for S to get home from work and set it all up and we should have working WiFi . Unfortunately due to it being hogmanay Sis unlikely to be able to get s bus home tonight or tomorrow night so R and i shall ring in the new year without him. (To be honest we will probably sleep through it)
R seems to enjoy the extra space in our new house although we have had to put a gate st the bottom of the stairs to stop him trying to climb them. Had one of the gates we bought not been faulty there would be another sy the top, but alas, we shall make do as is for now.
Mouse.
