I cannot help feeling largely responsible for Oetzi's behaviour. I just want to say how deeply grieved I am about the situation, though I whole-heartedly respect your decision to close the Atelier.

I don't hold you responsible for another person's behavior, Ben -- the conversation had been on the topic of childhood protosexual encounters for quite a while, and a person who was concerned about charters and young minds and all the rest should have been yikesing lots of posts, not just the one that inflamed his own prejudices.

The situation has been stressful and out-of-control for a while, but a direct attack on a valued colleague was too much to ignore.

He's a strong bloke, really he is. It takes more than someone like that posting nasty things about him before he truly ups and leaves. I mean, Oetzi has still to start on his Lib-Dem status yet!

lack of behavior.As i see it nothing can be done to stop than pre-moderateing "posters" of inflamentery nature such as "deemed fit" by either the "owner/site maneger"of whatever thread content is posted.


As i understand facilities for this are all ready in place and since in not only reading the backlog in that and other threads *zi has posted on. He can be seen to be anti certain researchers whatever they say.

Thanks for your thoughts, all of you. This is a case where one wishes it were possible to block researchers who behave offensively, but owners of individual fora don't have the power to block offensive posts or people, and yikesing is evaluated at a higher level.

I am glad DD is back, but the latest conversation at A304354 has become uninhabitable.
