Disappointed
I joined this page thinking it would be fun. I was encouraged to post things I had written, take part in forums and discuss my favourite subjects with like-minded people. I was reassured that we would all be treated with respect. So, I tentatively posted a couple of things I'd written over the years, just for fun and put them up for peer review. The result? Rude replies, nasty comments and hate-filled messages from some twit called pinhead or pinniped or something, a far cry from the constructive criticism and help that had been promised. Well, I thought, at least this guy must be a great writer himself if he feels that he is in a position to lambast me. But visiting his page, it all turned out to be meaningless garbage about seals and fish and so-called poetry. So, the bossy guys who spoil it for everyone else make sure that they run the show on their own and cut any threat to their "power" off at the knees. The only reason I don't leave is that there is no option I can find for closing the account. h2g2 stinks.
