Hi, I'm Skenvoy and I'm your <./>ACE</.>. That means that I'm here to help you find your way around the h2g2 community. Please have some , , , or whatever else you'd like! You say on your space you write fantasy, how much have you written? I've done a few short stories myself but never anything that long - I keep meaning to start one and get distracted!
I have made a page of useful links on the site which can be found here: A870707. On the page you will find links to all of the main help pages on the site as well as a few links to clubs and interesting places to go.
If you have any questions or queries, or if you just want to chat then please feel free to click the reply button at the bottom of the post. I hope you enjoy being a member of h2g2

Hi

No worries. If you need any other help just ask
What GCSEs are you taking? I've just finished my AS levels which was a really busy year, though that is probably my fault for aranging far too much social stuff and not enough time for school work . But somehow I got it all done!

Hi (again)
Cordelia_Tintenharte Posted Jul 16, 2004
I've probably started about a hundred fantasy stories (novels, mainly). I used the plot of my first to inspire my second, then used that plot to build up my third, etc. So my idea for my recent one started from my first. Which is why the plot is rubbish.
I have a good poem that I really like (the only successful one) - would I be able to put it on my space, or should it be a guide entry, or would people take it as their own?
Hi (again)

If you ever need any help with Bio or Maths I *should* be able to help you... taking an AS in them and all! (my other two subjects are Religious studies and history) Also I did the other sciences, english etc and IT at GCSE so if you need any help there I can vaguely remember some of it...
As to your poem you can put it anywhere and *hopefully* people won't steal it. But you can publish it anywhere, I have one friend on the site who uses his journal to post his poetry for instance.

Hi (again) and Hi (yet again!)

At the moment I'm OK , but thanks! I'm doing my mock mocks (the year 10 variety). I failed (Cs and Bs). The RS test was very easy - it was all about Christianity and Christian views, and I ought to have got A* because I meet with fellow Christians every Sunday. Ah, well. I cheered myself up with some 'Thin Blue Line' (Rowan Atkinson, Rudolf Walker). Ever heard of it?
I'll put my poem in my journal then. By the way, who is this friend? Can I say hi to him (or her), even if I never actually properly chat to him/her?
Hi (again) and Hi (yet again!)
TBC Posted Jul 23, 2004
next time they post one I'll let you know... I've kind of forgotten who it was who posted poems in their journal
I've seen The Thin Blue Line. It is a great show though I haven't seen it in soooo long
I'm slightly worried that I totally cocked up some of my AS's... but I won't know till mid August. The worst part was opening my RE (philosophy and Ethics) paper to find one of the questions was something we were told couldn't come up. Loads of schools have complained about it so I don't know what they'll do. I was lucky in that I know the Bible reasonably well and the question was on God and goodness in the Bible so I managed to wing it!!!

Was that dreaded question to name Solomon's eldest wife? I don't think it's mentioned in the bible, but we got asked to do that anyway. Life, I guess.
What do you think of Billie Piper being the new Doctor Who assistant? I mean, who in the BBC cocked up?
Hi (again) and Hi (yet again!)
TBC Posted Jul 23, 2004
I haven't seen too much of Dr Who though I don't know why they chose her as the new assistant... perhaps they had no one else for the job!
As to the question on the paper the main part of it was something like "How does the Bible show the goodness of God" and the other choice (two questions you can chose from) was "How does the Bible show God as a creator?" and we'd been told that there would always be one question of God and one on the Acient Greeks (Plato, Aristotle etc). I decided it was easier to write about the Greeks so only learnt them... as did about 3/4's of the country!!

My Dad memorised an entire Latin text for his exam (back in the 70s), plus all his notes as well. I think it was the Enyid (can't spell it, sorry). I sooo wish I could do that, don't you?
Hi (again) and Hi (yet again!)
TBC Posted Sep 10, 2004
Wow, thats impressive! I've never tried to learn a whole text... I *might* be able to do it as I have a good memory and I know a lot of skills, but I'm not sure I'd be able to do it fully word for word!
