My goodness have just read through your homepage. Twenty minutes later I am now square eyed, fascinated, wondering how you fit in just the ordinary things of life.....

Good to meet you. I loved some of your anecdotes, had a laugh at a few, but cannot remember which ones they were.

Next time I read it I shall make notes.

Do you file all your anecdotes?

You quote a lot of Aristotle. do your particularly like him?

Anyway, I sympathise with Mrs.Al. I woild suggest that she also delves into a dictionary. Your words are not extreme. English is a really beautiful language but so people use it to it's full depth and expression.

Sadly I never studied chemistry. I used to be practising scales, and arpeggios and playing the piano and 'cello. and all the other jyraid of things one does at school.

Many thanks for your comments. We have corresponded a few times on various threads, starting with the Entry on Marie Curie.

I keep meaning to write to you more due to your knowledge of Zimbabwe. I may already have told you that my mother was born in Umtali, S. Rhodesia as it was (and ironically died in Salisbury, UK - where I still live). I rember a lot of her words and phrases specific to this part of S. Africa, which is perhaps why I like Wilbur Smith as an author. I've never been to Zimbabwe myself but, hopefully, will do so one day.

The reason I quote a lot of Aristotle is that he had muc to say about Education - most of which is still pertinent today.

I do file quite a lot of my anecdotes, and I use my PS on hootoo to do so.
