Hello guitar ninja hows things for you?

I finally got employed and at HP no less! In Corvallis Yippee!

Night shift though is the pitts (long drive, and sleepy at the wheel in the morning (11PM-7AM))

At least it is work.

HP is a crazy place and I mean that in the worst possible way. I dont know if I can even keep my sanity while there. They have rules for everything and then turn around with exceptions to those rules. I work in one of the clean rooms, with the full "bunny suit" and all. It takes me about five minutes just to get dressed to go in there. All you can see of the real me is the eyes, looking out in desparation. But it wont last forever. We will be moving into a different building soon (not too soon though) and then we will not need these torture clothes.

Yes there is a lay-off going on here and there are many people getting severance packages in the process of leaving,(they haven't left yet though) and their attitude shows it. Last night, while I was among three people who were supposed to work on this process, I was the only one who spent the whole night working at it!

Inkjet printheads are what we make and that involves complex processes. Needless to say dont ever buy a new cartridge buy the ink and refill them. Even HP has seen the light and will be producing printheads that are better designed to do just that.

I was hoping that you would be online so that we could "talk" but just get back to me as soon as you can.
Bye

Hey, my time-travelling friend. Sounds like you're at least making ends meet (whatever the crap that even means.) Congrats on your new job! That's exciting. I hope the move provides a more convenient workplace/time.

Spring term is coming to a spectacular close filled with concerts and final projects. All of my final tests are done, and all I have to do is turn in a music theory project, perform in a concert, and play for a jury of people for my guitar final. Then I get to move out, along with all of the stuff I've been accumulating over the year.

Next year I'll be headed off to Arrowhead Bible College to learn a little bit more about my faith and the direction God wants my life to take. I love music, but being here has been rough on the spiritual aspect of my life, so I plan to make amends by devoting all of next year to studying the bible. Of course, I'll keep writing music, too, but most of my energy will be put into developing decent devotional habits.

Anyway, it's good hearing from you again. I apologize for the delay in my response. Truly, I only visit this site when I can find time. Summer is almost here =)

Just for starters look up the www.Christian-thinktank.com There are 5000 pages of eloquent and thorough answers to the typical questions about the Bible and Christianity. Done in a very well documented style and intellectually oriented. Maybe not for every one but certainly serious students of the Bible. A compete apologetics textbook (in a sense).

Try www.drgenescott.com and go to the cathedral Bible tour, this Bible collection will blow you away. There is none like it anywhere in the world.

I have been studying a series called "The History of Protestantism" by James Wylie. It is available on the web and the history is precious about how we got to be the way we are in this modern age. By the way, protestantism began almost as soon as the Roman church claimed its primacy.

Good luck in Bible school, if you have any questions that you "dont like what the teachers say" ask me, I've gone down that road many times. Worked through most of the legitimate controversies and I hold to a balanced approach not the argumentative approach. I am not a dogmatist.

Good luck I'll see you when I see you....

Wow. Thanks so much for those resources. Dispite growing up as a child of the Information Age (in caps because it's important?) I find myself having increasing difficulty and decreasing patience as I sift through the internet in search of relevance (I'm almost waiting to see an internet religion appear any time, which I suppose will happen when people start integrating their bodies with technology.. or maybe I've been watching too much Ghost in the Shell.)

Anyway, it seems so hard to find historical truth about christianity. Much like politics, I find myself questioning the views of every source I get and end up believing very little of it for fear of latching onto a falsehood. Thanks also for making yourself an available resource. I really appreciate it.

So, how is life going for you? How is your job going? Has the layoff scare settled and people are back to 'normal'? Did the job location move yet?

Hope you're doing well.

Take Care,
Tait
