Thanks Debbie. I must assume that you are about the same age as me, due to the Human League allusion. I used to love that song. So you want to talk, well tell me everything about yourself (you know a bit about me already).

Am I about the same age as you biomass? So wot age is that then? I kinda got the thought you were a little bit younger than me. So you used to like Human league too - wot do you like these days? I like the Muse, a bit.

Well, I am 39 but Human League haven't been around for a long time (I must have been 22- 23 the last time I heard anybody {apart from you} mention them). So if you were working as a waitress in a cocktail bar- I'm old as you!

Hi how are you today? Sorry to sound thick but where do I find work you have posted?

You won't. I don't post my work here. I'm a scientist and what I write would not interest then majority of numbnuts that visit this site. Sorry, but that's the truth. Happy to answer any questions you have and mail them directly to you, Here's an address you can get me on
[email protected] Hope to hear from you.

Do you really want to hear from me? How do you know I'm not a numbnut?

Sorry, I was in an overly harsh mood. Normally I wouldn't have said that, but I would still have been thinking it. I know it's not very nice, but honestly if you have a look around a some of the stuff, Phhh. And I didn't realise when I got into this thing that it was a meeting ground for wanna be authors, cos if I had I would've kept going. It's like hearing some one who's really bad play guitar, you just want them to stop or break a string. Another writer - oh good, just what the world needs. Congratulations, for whatever reason you have seen the most sour, critical, and sarcastic side of me, and all within a few short messages. Yes, I do really want to hear from you (I want a chance to redeem myself lest you think that I'm fixed in a*sehole mode). Don't worry, if you are a numbnut the way I've been hammering everyone in this thread I'm sure to let you know in no uncertain terms. Maybe something subtle like "Hey numbnut - you're breathing my air, move!".

Sorry Debbie, but you never did get around to telling me how old you were. Today is my 40th birthday . Furthermore, I have just re-read the "numbnuts" message. It sounded like I was saying that I'm a superior genius and the rest of the world is comprised of stupid mortals. I can assure you that I'm not full of myself even though it certainly sounded that way. I know pretty much where I fit into the scheme of things and it's squarely amongst the mortal sector. A genious I am not. I was just having a dig at all of the "I'm a writer..." types that have been driving me up the wall lately, but I should have been more specific as it sounded like I was refering to everyone on this site. I'm sure you must think that I'm a cranky old b*stard (well I am 40 now), but they've been getting up my nose and I vented all of that on you . Sorry about that.

Hi. Okay so you are sore that your are 40? Its no big deal. In fact its quite a good thing I reckon. My life is a lot better know I'm older.
I'm in my early forties and I live in England (can't remember if I told you that). Its a beautiful day here today sushine and cool a breeze.
We have just had an Easter hol.
Can't write much, my delightful kids have just managed to put Tweenies in the disk drive and I have to go somewhere else to regain my sanity.
How are your uni studies going?

Hi Tara (that's a beautiful name),
My name is Michael (not so beautiful, ah well). I wasn't really cranky about being 40. I was working long, hard hours to write a talk I had to deliver last Friday, which followed something else that I had to put a lot of time into writing, only to have some of the people on this site say "Oh, so you don't do any real writing". Hence I was a bit dark when I wrote the "numbnuts" thing. Sorry about how that came out, and I hope that now you understand why it came out. Being 40 doesn't help though, I don't wanna get older anymore. Uni's alright, in fact if I can get the right results by the end of the year 2 pieces of my research will have to be published - I hope those aforementioned people read this as that's the sort of thing they wish for (never been an ambition of mine). So if you're out there - ha ha.
