Hi Jules,
I like your entry - I just think it could do with a link in the text to Sheffield, at the very least, since there is a an entry on Sheffield in the EG.

Hi Annie,
(My very first sub-editor - it's so exciting!)
So if I say, yes that's a good idea, what happens - do you change the entry to include a link to the EG Sheffield entry or do I? I thought it was unchangeable now from my end.

Having just read it through again - could there also be links to the Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire categories of Guide Entries, which come under England, or can't it link to group headings?

Hi Jules,
No, you can't put category names as links. I have only ever had 3 entries subbed myself and that was more than a year ago, so I forgot the writer of the entry can't edit it after it is Recommended.
I have to put the links in, and I want to put in an in-text link on the first Sheffield, since there is an entry on Sheffield already in the Edited Guide.

Yes that sounds fine
By the way, do you think someone who hasn't written many Guide Entries (yet) can be a Scout? Out of all the volunteer roles that's the one I fancy and I already spend ages reading Peer Review just as a general hootoo person. Any advice welcome!

Hi Jules,
I have found a website on the houses of parliament -
http://www.tourist-information-uk.com/parliament.htm
I want to put it in as the link at 'Houses of Parliament, London'
I will also put in the Sheffield link.

Yes, good idea - I tried to search it using 'building' then 'construction' but didn't get anywhere!
I found this too http://www.anstonconsoc.org.uk/ I haven't had time to look at it but I know these people and it probably talks about the Stones as they do stuff like protecting orchids down there!

Do you think the one on Wesley could maybe lead to a different page? That one doesn't seem to be strictly a historical/informative page, which may be preferred by Guide readers.
The other two are OK. What did you think about the Conservation Society - should we change the final paragraph to include that too?
Something like:
Readers may find this site useful. It contains photographs and maps of Anston plus information about the wider area. A second site which may be of interest is that of the local conservation society, which includes photographs of Anston Stones wood.

Hi Jules,
You are right about that website, for John Wesley. This one is better http://www.ccel.org/ccel/ccel/eee/files/wesleyc.htm.
That is a good idea for the last paragraph.

Sorry Jules,
that should have been http://www.ccel.org/ccel/ccel/eee/files/wesleyj.htm

THIS BIT IS REPEATED SO ONE VERSION NEEDS DELETING (THE ONE WITHOUT THE LINK)

I WOULD SAY CONSERVATION SOCIETY NOT SITE.
WHY AM I SHOUTING?
Sorry - capital problems!!

Great and you're not an idiot!
Do you think I can add one word - it's the bit about the little girl - I'm starting to panic in case this was a handed-on story and I haven't any proof - so can we put 'was apparently executed' instead of 'was executed'. I think I would feel better then - I always feel like I'm fibbing if I can't back stuff up!
Sorry - promise this is the last change!
Jules (getting excited about my first Edited Entry!)
