Hmmm - you could call it a long laugh

Good A little quite lately - this RL thing is a little over-active at the moment. I don't even have time to polish the last bits on my vacation resort 'round here ... (I never was one for exaggerationg )

And you? All well and good and mufflewhumping, I hope...

Since May? Um... on average, pretty good

Averaging good can't be half bad...

If only some of the downs hadn't been so low, the average would have been even better

I guess - *philosophical ranting hazard coming up* - that life does deal us a weird random mix of ups and downs, goods and bads.

I certainly cannot claim that I have been through any particular hard times lately, not at all - but I have had this weird "I need to do something to make me really glad and smiling - but what?" kinda feeling in between.

Probably just existentialism (re the quote on my old user page) hitting with the onset of autumn and the dark part of the year...

So you're going to be in Chicago this week, hm? If you email me your room phone number, I could bore you horribly... er, I mean that I get free long distance with my mobile, so we could chat or something? My email's amy_p1ATyahooDOTcom (replacing the AT and the DOT with the @ and . respectively, of course)...

*makes note of Email addy* I'll be packing my Trillian (, my IT Dept is not supposed to know ) so I can IM when I'm in my room and not on the company VPN...

And sure, why not do a phone-real-life-voice thing? Might not be much in my room, though - and calls to my mobile will be routed and costed via Denmark (not that it's my bill ) so....

it's not like we couldn't arrange for you to be in your room when I'd be calling Chicago's 2 hours ahead of me, so I'd likely be calling after 9 pm Central time, because I get free minutes after 7 pm here

I could speculate how to explain to colleagues - errrm, no, I'll not join you in the bar, I have to be back in my room at 9...

Let's see how it works out - I have an idea that my social calendar for this trip is rather busy (would that be or .. probably the former).
