I once hit myself in the shinns twice within half an hour with a mallet. That was sore. The bruise took over a month to disappear.

Ouch...sounds sore. What happened you?
If it helps, I was always the one that got hit in the face with the ball in school. Last time I played hockey (quite a few years ago now) I got hit on the head with a hockey stick. Was a bit sore.

I was at college and we wanted to play, so we hauled out the net, hammered more of ourselves into the ground then the net, butfinally got it up, only to be asked to take it back down because an exam was about to start in a nearby lecture-room.*sighs

Unbelievable! When exams are on round here, they've posters plastered everywhere, just so you get the point. Even if there isn't actually an exam on at the time.
