Adventurers wanted!
Malabarista - now with added pony Started conversation May 30, 2011
KB and I are plotting a Great Big Plan involving a Great Big Walk. To be precise, the Oxfam 100km-in-36-hours trek. We hope to draw a little attention to h2g2, and to have fun.
And we need a team of four, so you, of course, instantly sprang to mind. Interested?

Hooray! We were hoping you'd say that. KB is preparing a page for it... It starts off in the Mournes, then goes into the Republic.

I'm staying in my parents' house today, to mind the animals while they're away in the Arann Islands (my parents, that is, not the animals). So I popped up to my room earlier, and there were my boots. I don't know where they were hiding, but they've turned up.

It's a sign!
My new walking shoes are waterproof after all. I was playing chicken with a wave yesterday, and lost

Minding the animals?
Are we talking about a dog and a cat? Or cattle and sheeps and gnus and suchlike?

Two cats and four ducks, KB. I found only one egg this morning. Glorious day. Spent most of it lying on the trampoline (it's near trees, at the bottom of the lawn, so my head was in the shade) reading a book. Then went for a long walk in the woods. I have not yet put on a pair of shoes.

It does sound like a good day.
Would it be fair to say that you resent having to put shoes on? I seem to recall you mentioning them before.

I'm not as used to bare feet as I used to be. They've recovered now, but when I walked barefoot to the shop on Monday, I was hobbling back. I'm usually barefoot around my parents' house and garden; less so where I am now. I do hope to move soon, though. Need to start househunting.

Yes. Just need to stop living with smokers. I think I'll try living alone for a while. I've never done that. I think I'd like it.
