smokers world
---------------
all around me are smoke haze faces,
yellowy brown nicotine stained places,
haggard the look through the mist,
of smoke only if you get the gist.
All of us smoking away to the end,
we finally disappeer around the bend,
with lungs filled full of ash,
helping us cope with the stress.
Yet when you light and drag away,
it helps to pass every single day,
in a blissful smokers state,
where nicotine is your mate.
So we try to stamp it out,
with little or no help,
and so realise the one true thing,
it is so damm addictive this nicotine.

If your Doctors' run a Smoking Clinic and you enrol, you will be given a weeks supply of whatever you have decided your course will be.. I chose patches!
You will only have to pay prescription charges then instead of the full price of the patches or whatever!

don't know how you did it though... I mean I know it takes a year for the effects of nicotine withdrawral to be removed from your system. I mean 1 YEAR.... it is ridiculous... but I am going to keep trying....

I don't know where you got your information from love.. coz the nicotine is out of you system within a week.. the withdrawal is gone after 6 weeks... that is why courses last 12 -14 weeks.
The habit will always be there.. like a reformed alcoholic... it never really goes away. You have to learn to control that urge!
The real habit is not having anything in your fingers...
Find something else to play with

actully it was something I read in new scientist magazine... most of the effects are gone over 14 weeks but the need for nicotine does take a year to clear from the system... has for having something for my fingers to do... .... any suggestions?

just keep boncing from one thing to another as I do when I am stressed which lack of smoking is doing - so I also need something that can keep my attention for the time span which stitching will not alas do....

Have you tried those hypnotherapy cd's? Paul McKenna? Some people have said they worked for them, I tried the slimming one but I couldn't be a**ed with it after the first couple of sessions.
