A quickie
I love quickies... Oh wait, I'm supposed to be doing something here. What was it? Oh yes, of course. An introduction. My introduction to be more clear. An introduction to myself I could say. Yes I could definately say that. Rather I should say an introduction OF myself. What ever. So here goes. First, I am not British. I am only writing this way becuase it seems appropriate given the fact that this is the BBC and all. I am in fact American. American expatriated actually. No I am not living in the UK. I am living in the PRC. Peoples Republic of China. You've heard of it. Of course you know the place, you guys got em all hooked on Opium then snagged half the country. Hong Kong? Ok then, so were on the page page now. Great. Anyway, I am an American living in China. I am doing as the Romans do when in Rome, that is to say I am doing as the Chinese do in China, I am living as the chinese do. I live in a flat with my entire Chinese family-in-law, I don't have a proper plate, fork or spoon in the place, just chopsticks and bowls for this lot. When I eat an animal, I eat the whole thing. Meaning all the bits and parts. Even the bits and parts most respectbale types would simply toss in the rubbish bin. I'm talking chicken heads and feet here people. And damn it if the chicken aint black! Well, aside from animal spare parts at every meal the veggies are quite nice. Fresh from the farm with dirt and insecticide still clinging to the surface. Lets not forget the big choice these poor saps have to make every meal of every day: Rice or noodles... Oops, my students are here, more later. Oh, by the way I am an English teacher.
