Well, I joined the site post BBC, but the site has changed a lot in the last few months never mind the last few years. I'm not sure what you already know so sorry if I'm stating the obvious.

Thank you very much! I will check your profile - if any - later on and try to learn day by day how h2g2 works. Now I am quite tired but I want to tell you a little story.

I lived in Berlin for almost all my life and once I had the chance to meet Douglas Adams. He gave a lecture on modern communication in the 'Kulturbrauerei' in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg.

Just one, two years before I had produced a 16mm short silent movie and adapted the story Arthur tells Fenchurch in So Long and thanks for all the Fish. Do you remember that one about the biscuits?

And guess what story Douglas started the lecture with? Exactly with that one. Unfortunately - as I am not a person running after celebrities - I wasnt able to hand him over a video copy and I very much doubt the lady I gave it to, did. So he might have never seen it. It's not great anyway but at least worth watching, I'd say.

A renown pianist who might by now have died played the music for that silent movie. His name was Willy Sommerfeld and he is the star of German silent movie pianists.
