Anyone who's unaware of the h2g2 Autumn London Meet on 21st October should look at A13222847 straight away.

Only a few have been brave enough to sign up, and I have a feeling that there are more people out there on hootoo who would probably like to turn up but haven't *signed up*. In the olden days - actually, last winter, there were 41 definite attendees and a host of others hoping to make it. I don't quite understand the sudden drop in numbers, and I think it would be good to revive the tradition. After all, h2g2 is a community (unlike w*kipedia), and we should be able to translate that into one big get together every now and then. And no moaning about the date - plenty have said that Spring and Autumn would be better than Winter and Summer.

I'm not going to ask work for another weekend off when there are only seven confirmed attendees, Alex. I'd love to come, but I work a six day week as it is and London is a good seven hours or so on the bus. If it's looking healthier nearer the time, I'll come up

I'd like to put my name down, but won't know until nearer the time. Things may be slack because it seems like there's only just been one meet, and now there's another one, or people aren't aware because it's been brought forward quite a lot.
