Drooled -overs behave badly too?

Lady J doesn't get much time to do ANYTHING as her teaching duties really drain her every day. I often get home before she does and cook supper.
*pats himself on the back*
J is into reading books - she lasts about 3 pages before she falls asleep in the chair. But she is usually to tired and just passes out straight after a bath.
That scrapheap stuff sounds good too - the advantage of taped programs is that you can watch them whenever and for as long as you like. Perhaps this is the answer to our 'cultural exchange'? I think I'll wrap your Crimbo prezzies in a recent copy of the TV schedule so you can be up to date on what we're watching over 'ere!
Is C into stamps? I could plaster a parcel with them if he is.

Yes, it's on it's way mail.
The eclipse. Drove 450kms with Steven and Michelle. The campsite had no toiletpaper, but did have hot water. Woke at 4:00 and roused the kids. We left the campsite and drove up into the mountains to the viewsite. Overcast - stayed that way for the duration.
We did experience the darkness, seeing orange stripes in the clouds near the horizon (which was great)and I was very happy to be 'doing stuff' with the kids for a change. Steven looked at plants and Michelle cuddled next to her Dad because it was chilly, and as there was no TV, we talked a lot!
They both want to go camping more often, so we'll see...

This is off my new A31p laptop - new and fast!
I'm home for the holidays until 6 Jan - woopee!
How's things in UK - cold and wet? We've been getting a bit of much needed rain so the farmers can plant maize and such. Hopefully this will continue and give us enough to grow the food to feed the nation. Zimbabwe ran out of petrol this week. No food, no petrol, no hope...!
Keep eyes open for the parcel.

So how is your new toy then WR? Are you a happy bunny?
Your pressie has arrived by the way and I am half way through composing an Email to you.
The weather is grotty (dull/damp/dark/chilly) here and I try to consol myself by remembering that there are some countries that would be grateful for rain...
I suppose your weather in SA is wonderful...

I'm happy as a pig in Jerusalem with newtoy!
I'm still getting my mind around Windows 2000 (old one still had '95) and I get clashes on old files on occasion.
I can't believe that the parcel got there already!
Perhaps insured post is the way to make sure it gets there quickly? Anyhow, I hope they fit someone. The maps are just for information, if you're interested, when I go on about trips about the countryside with the club.
You really don't want to know what the weather is like here today - it would just depress you. It's only 10:00 and the temperature is already over 27C - I'm sitting in bathingshorts and trying to get a bit of breeze over me bod ter cool down! It rained last night, though, so it's rather humid - I think a swim is called for. I put the big garden umbrella stand next to the shallow end where I can sit in the water in shade and drink a cold on you.

for the calendar!
(The office e-mail server is down so I can't send from there.)
Jenny now wants a little stone house just like one of the pictures in it! (But I think NOT in England, though!)

Boo!
Glad Lady J liked the calender! I'll have to send you some pictures of our old 16th Century cottage sometime...

And Boo to yourself too!
Love to see more of your place - history puts such an attractive patina on to a building - ours is less than twenty.
Hope J,M,+ C are all well! I'll do a nice long e-mail soon for you all!

Methinks it's me that owes you an Email... I'll try to rectify the situation soon.
The house we're in now is only 100 years old and needs a few roof tiles thanks to the recent gales! The house we owned in Hampshire was a 16th Century flint and chalk walled thatched cottage. It was amazing and sometimes I used to just stand and look at it when I came home from work, especially in the summer months.
