NuclearConfusion -Not a lot of money in the revenge business

Huh, I suddenly have a craving to listen to Handel. I blame you.

Hi guys. That quote is from American Beauty, the Kevin Spacey character says it.

So, Watermusic, you said you like card games. Do you ever play Freecell? I find that totally addictive.

Nothing at all wrong with Handel.

Other than the fact that when he wrote The Messiah, he was 24 years old.

Me, a 24 year old, look on him and then at my own life of nearly zero accomplishments and can't help but feel a slight disgust.

Other than that, nothing.
BTW, good job on the quote. Wasn't really a game, or anything, but if it were, you'da won!

There's actually a thread just for movie quotes, I think it is here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/F19585?thread=259444&skip=2020&show=20 You stumped me on the glass on the floor one.

Hi folks!
I do play Freecell, Hearts, Spider(only Win98 so it hardly ever comes out), Cribbage, Backgammon, Kyodai & Superplex. Usually when I'm waiting for someone to come back and tell me what they want me to type up!
Could hardly have the handle Messiah, bit irreligious? Is there gender to God?

Watermusic

Go on, give us a clue.

A bit arrogant, perhaps. So I was correct in assuming the watermusic was due to Handel?

Anyhoo, the previous quote was from the Golden Globe nominated movie "Lost in Translation". Go see it. Bill Murray rocks. If you already have, doesn't matter. Go see it.

Oooo, yes, I liked Lost in Translation. Very good in a low key, subtle way - funny and touching. Not only was Bill Murray good, Scarlett Johanson was quite good too. She is one of my favorite actresses. I liked the nighttime shots of the Japanese city, with all the neon.

Speaking of Johanson, has anyone seen her in Girl With a Pearl Earring? I'm not sure whether to see it - I didn't like the book much, but I might like the movie better.

Don't get out to the movies much - have not yet managed to get to see the Two Towers (or Return of the King).
Have been listening to 'Girl with a Pearl Earing' as it was on Bookshelf (World Service)
Yes, Handel was the inspiration for the handle.
