Great job so far as I can see; thanks for all your help in polishing this up. To answer your question, Wizard is a fellow cab driver at the agency that Travis works for. He is a somewhat simple-minded, tough-talking New York stereotype, and when Travis begins to confess some of the darker feelings he's been having to Wizard, Wizard responds with standard, pat responses - basically telling Travis to "not worry so much". He is the only person besides Betsy & Iris that Travis reaches out to in the film, and he too, ignores Travis' cries for help. Hope that helps!
