Would I sound pompous if I said I feel I need to rewrite all that inaccurate crap to get the facts right? I trust the good doctor knows his “rhinitis medicamentosum” better than he knows his “man man | more.”

Having said that, it occurs to me how different medical terms are from computer vernacular. Both are arcane, but for opposite reasons. Medical terms get there with Latin based verbose and seemingly ostentatious labels. Computer-speak stems from an obsessive attempt to conserve 1’s and 0’s. Every extra letter was ostensibly an extravagant use of computer memory or power. That was in days gone bye, but now computers use billions of binary numbers every second.

It also occurs to me that many people work better with one extreme or the other. I know I could never become a Doctor. It never occurred to me, before this, that Doctors might have trouble understanding computerize.

Now, I better try to understand why I seem to need my ostentatious vocabulary.

You don't have to apologise. I thought you might have misunderstood how Peer Review works and that you felt it necessary to go to individual accounts to reply.

Just say in the PR thread that you don't feel that link is suitable for your Guide Entry, and that you won't be adding it to the article. That should stop any sub-editor putting the link in during the editing
