I don't think I've ever taken the time to thank you for being such a good friend to khamsin and I over all these long years
(I forget how many)
I was looking at an old thread recently and suddenly thought I should talk to Lil more

quick update

Khamsin has a job interview soon (he's really nervous and has to make a power-point presentation)
little one - Ephraim - is now 3 and a half and growing fast, he has an imaginary friend t.rex which I suppose is a good thing to have as an imaginary friend, it eats trees....
we're both still potting,
I'm hoping to enrol on a Teaching course in November one where you can earn while you train

I've just been told by happy-nerd that i link to <./>dontpanic</.> which is horribly out of date and I thought the named pages were important

My, how the time has flown. It only seems like five minutes since you and Khamsin married, and then the little one came along!

I'm sure Khamsin will do well with his interview, he's such a lovely young man (I was very lucky to have him as my very first hootoo husband, even if it did surprise him at the time!)

My eldest daughter, VC, had an imaginary pet duck. VV's was Mr Nobody, for obvious reasons

Blimey! That page was only updated a few years ago. I remember Alex spending a lot of time with a lot on the old pages, before we went across to barlesque

Will you be closing your shop, if you are training and Khamsin w*rking? I do wish you luck on the course

yeah we've been planning to close the shop for a while
and focus on selling things through the website
the rent for shops is horrible
plus i would like to spend more time with the little one
he'll be going to school next year
they grow up too fast! they should have to stay little for longer
at least till you feel like you've gotten a hand on the age they are currently at




a duck sounds good for an imaginary pet

I'm sure the dontpanic page isn't that bad, its just if it says it's out of date on it people aren't likely to give it a chance...

You spend as much time with him as you can. Once he's in school you will be able to do whatever you like, and still get him to help you

The don't panic page doesn't say it's out of date, it says it's in place of an older page.

This could become very confusing if you are cross checking with the other pages

I know I try to spend time with him but I feel so guilty about the time I don't...
why is being a parent so complicated....

are you keeping well?

I was fortunate to be working and living in a pub when my two were very young. Then we moved and I spent time at home with VV while VC was in school. Once they were both in school, I used to work weekend in Dad's pub, while Mum looked after the girls, so I was never far away from them. I didnt return to full-time employment until I had remarried and the youngest was almost 14 years old. This meant they were only alone for about 30 - 45 minutes until Hubby came home, and I wasn't far behind him.

All in all, I was very lucky in my career

Yes, I'm keeping well, love... and on that note, I will be away to my bed
