Broadband giving you grief still?

I left Barbara a message on her PS yesterday. Out of interest does this knock her off the ace list, I'm saw I read that somewhere.

Interesting night as it turned out, for all my scenerio thinking hadn't thought of that one, english being a second lanaguage, plus being new to h2g2, diving straight into Ask can cause all manner of confusion.

I've just sorted it out now. Luckily I'd made a note of her user number, and was able to get back to her PS with my message.


Sadly, Barbara would have entered the busiest thread online and not realised what she was letting herself in for. We will need to be more patient with newbies, as this is likely to be the norm for a little while longer

Soon we will be able to grab newbies from the list almost as they are enrolling, giving them essential links to what we are about. At the moment we are still only guessing if they are ours, or those wanting to enter the BBC Blogs

I felt mean last night, I was trying to patient, then felt that having been asked, three times to please stop argueing and yikes might be in order, then I realised that keeping up would have been difficult and Barbara was responding to posts one by one and timings were out I think, so she was coming up behind us, if you see what I mean.

Lessons learnt there, I was going to go over this morning to say hi again, see if we can start afresh

It looks like there is an on-going situation with Robert. Pity we cannot see the other messageboard postings, it could have revealed what their actual problem is

Tarantoes is going to drop over to hers on the permalink place if he has time today, so despite all the confusion of last night I hope that she feels comfortable about coming back

I was reminded yesterday of how bad my writen English is, *yelp* and that I had some suggestions for Sol about a help desk which I haven't posted on the Foundation forum yet. I was thinking it could be for people like me who didn't get taught grammer at school, maybe some help sheets for parents who want to help their kids with the English homework etc. It could also work for those that are trying to learn English as a 2nd language
