h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

My leg is getting better, I think. It's 8 weeks since I broke the thing, though they won't let me put any weight on it yet. I think that's because the fracture is on a slant, rather than flat, and they are worried that it might slide apart.

Its very frustrating though. I want to do more, but I'm not allowed. I've been given exercises to do by the physios to keep my leg muscules working, but it's not the same.

I go back to work next Monday, thoough I'll still be on crutches. Hannah will have to drive me there and back every day. She not looking forward to that. Its ages since she drove in rush hour traffic - if she ever has. Not since we've been married certainly. And she's got to make a two-way trip each time. Its not ideal.

Anyway, how are you? Everything okay?

Don't go rushing to get back on your feet too soon. I understand you are getting bored now, but it will mend in it's own good time

How is Hannah coping with the babies?

Well, Samuel isn't exactly a baby anymore - he'll be 3 1/2 on Sunday. Benjamin was 3 months yesterday, too. She's managing. She'd prefer it if I could do more with Samuel so that she could devote more time to Benjamin, but that's a bit difficult with a broken leg. I can't exactly run around after him, and if I just hopped he'd soon outpace me.

It's wearing her out though. She's exhausted. I wish I could do more, but it not physically possible at the moment.

I bet he's trying to help mummy by bringing things for her

Once you've had that cast off, you will be able to let Hannah have a rest at the weekends, until she gets her energy back

Benjamin will be showing his own character now

Ah, I have no cast. I have a metal plate down the middle of my tibia. There's a lovely big scar on my knee where they opened me up to put it in. It's only really be knee that still hurts, mostly.

Benjamin is become a right little smiler. Its a cheeky little grin he's got too.

Oh yuck!

I can't imagine how painful that would be with a 3 years old running about the place. At least a cast gives some protection from the knocks
