I can't believe that year disappeared so quickly. So much has happened! Not just in my life, but in the world as a whole - I suppose it always does...
I feel like Ferris Bueller: "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

The truth is I am nothing. An fool, an idiot. I make a mockery of the human race. I am less than the dirt under your feet. I pretend supreme confidence like a cat puffing itself up. A pathetic attempt to make myself seem better. Nicer, funnier, happier. Sometimes I manage to make myself believe it. Then I'll get tired of the faking, or somebody will say something that cuts a little too deep... and the pretence tumbles down around me.

Money Money Money! Must Be Funny!

Well, it's another Tuesday. I'm trying to figure out how to survive the next week and a bit until I get paid. It is causing me comforting feelings of deja vu. There is something very reassuring about just scraping through. For a start, it is infitely better than being stone broke. It's also familiar territory - I've been in the same boat for three years now, and change is something to fear!
How very odd. Last night I checked my bank balance, and there was $288 in there. Now there's $303. And that's after spending $12 at the 7-Eleven just before. So where did that extra money come from? That's about $30 that I don't know the origin of, but it might just save my life!
