Just poppin' in as one of the ACEs here or assistant community editors. We greet & welcome recent registrants like yourself & give 'em some directions for gettin' around a bit.
Can I offer you a , , , , or anything? Some perhaps? You can use any of those emoticons (I see from the "...Music...?" thread that you might have a grasp on the smileys though, so you probably know there are a-l-o-t of 'em @ A155909 .) And actually, it seems if you're postin' already, you're doin' pretty "A" & you might not need too much help...but feel free to reply & let me know how you're doin'...or if you need to find somethin', ok.
Hey Welcome ManicMolly!

Thanks for the welcome. It's all abit overwhelming to start with but I thought that was an easy one to add to to start me off. I look forward to joining more as I get used to it. Thanks

Well, technically, I'm supposed to give you some info, so got to run right now, but I'll be back & send/post some stuff to help you out, ok...pleased to meet you, btw!

*rushes back* Ok then, first I guess you can check the 'Welcome page' @ A53146 , or look at the 'I am new, what do I do now?' page ( A868098 ), & while it's good to know you're not panic-stricken , you might want to take the<./>dontpanictour</.> anyway.
About those smileys/the emoticons, theres a long list @ A155909 , with simple instructions for usin' each of 'em & if you ever need to refer back to it, just type smileys into the search window.
A couple of my ACE colleagues have compiled lists of links to aid new researchers. Shea's List is @ A534953 , & Feisor's is @ A719840 . Those should help you out alot, but if you have any questions, I'll try to help or at least call someone who can, alright.

Hi, I'm Roadkill (you may have guessed). I have a whole copy and paste intro thing I could do but Feisor's page is magic. And I'm sure tonemonkey will be happy to answer any questions.
I like your music taste, by the way .

Thanks for the welcome Roadkill or whatever else you've decided to call yourself this week. (Yes I read over Ians shoulder when he's on the computer). And of course my music taste is great, far superior to Tonemonkey!!!!

Ah yes, I change my name all the time on IM, but I'm jus' plain ol' Roadkill on here.
I gathered, when I send him cartoons he laughs, you usually sigh . Plus I do remember one plea for me to type stuff quick, so you wouldn't see something.
How do you like One by One?
Hey Welcome ManicMolly!
ManicMolly (tonemonkeys wife (and I felt I needed brackets)) Posted Dec 3, 2003
I do usually laugh aswell. I'm afraid I'm rather addicted to the Foo Fighters at the moment especially one by one. My favourite track being Lonely As You. What other music are you into.
Hey Welcome ManicMolly!
Researcher 185550 Posted Dec 3, 2003
I think the first and last tracks are stunning, but I don't particularly like what's in between. The last few are ok I suppose.
At the moment, Jimi Hendrix, I'm into Led Zep in a big way, as with Nirvana and Rage against the Machine. And Frank Zappa.

Just glancing at your updated page Molly (& perticularly those musical tastes...you realize Nickleback are from my corner of the globe?
Hey Welcome ManicMolly!
jaz'd(ace & yada yada *sigh* chocolate yada) Posted Dec 3, 2003
Well ok, technically Dave Grohl & The Foo Fighters are too...in purely global terms, but Chad Kroeger & Nickleback are from just down the road. True, a good didtance "down the road", but...
