I can get away with lurking at w*rk. Posting has to be kept to a minimum. It fills the time nicely.

Jodan is doing most of the electioneering, I think. Taken to it like a duck to water, too.

That's rather a lot, isn't it? Lots of hard w*rk there. Still, it's kept people busy and entertained or something.

Ah, but don't forget, with preferential voting you could pick up second-preference votes from other candidates, and sneak up on Hypatia... There's every chance that could happen. smiley - smiley

Having a speech handy is always good. If cunningly written, it won't explicitly refer to any particular occasion or result... I think most people tune out after the first three minutes; you could get away with reciting the phone book. smiley - winkeye

The headmaster at my old school used to have one speech, which he'd use four or five times a year. Presumably he ran some sort of find-&-replace process over it to make it mention current events, but the rest of it was the same every sodding time. He even used the same gestures and paused in the same places.

By the time we were in final year, we could mime the whole thing out of his line of sight.

I think you did rather well in the election, by the way. Fourth in the final count after allocation of preferences, and equal second on primary votes alone. smiley - bubblysmiley - smooch

That's good to know.

I'm about to have some much-delayed fun of my own. One more day in that blasted office, then two weeks off. I'm running away to Melbourne for the first week. I was supposed to meet up with a friend from Adelaide, but he can't make it after all - never mind, I'm going anyway. (It's a bit of a relief that he can't make it, to be honest. He was after sharing a room to save money, and he's rather desirable though straight, so I've been spared 6 nights of self-loathing and frustration.)

Being naughty takes so much energy - I might not be able to manage much before I need a good sleep. smiley - erm Still, let's see what happens.
