I guess that producing an appaling gag as your ID on a site is possibly producing entirely the wrong impression, but I'm something of a newcomer to this online community business. I've always thought of a community as a body of people in the same geographical catchment who share a veneer of manners over a seething well of suspicion, resentment and partly subdued malice. But why allow normal human behaviour to be constrained by geography, I suppose?
Anyway, I've just signed on because I couldn't resist replying to a posting. Perhaps I'll never do this again and this page will simply stagnate, perhaps I'll grow and flourish in this online community and my page wil stagnate because I never get round to updating it. Who can tell? Most likely, I feel, is that it will attract the same level of attention as a tardigrade in the middle of a football riot.
