You spin me right round, baby right round like a CD, baby right round round round.

I know what you're thinking; 2 jounals from me in less than a week is odd indeed, but I just thought I should warn you about the dangers of CD useage.
Today, while I was at college, my brother was testing a whole load of old discs on our PC to see what was on them. He put in one old disc, but the drive couldn't read it properly, so it started spinning faster, and faster, until eventually he heard a loud pop coming from the inside of the PC. When he opened the drive, he found that the disc had about one sixth of it missing, and there was a lot of white dust inside. Yup, that's right, one sixth of the disc was completely obliterated and turned into dust.
The moral of the story is, never put a CD that you once used as a frisbee into your CD drive. It completely voids your warrenty.
And the next time you put a disc in your PC, be careful. That thing is a monster.
This public safety announcement was brougth to you by the frisbee manufacturing industry.

Incomprehensible gobeldigook

I was in town earlier when I came across a person that was clearly suffering from some form of aphasia, a condition where the brain is incapable of saying things correctly, and where the sufferer somethings spouts random words in no particular order. In this case the words were shouted by a chavish youth:
"Shoe dope, ore oil bait yeah". If only we knew what it meant, we may learn a lot more about the nature of the universe.

She lives around the corner from me, now she has €112 million. Marginally interesting that, isn't it.
*sigh* If only I had taken the time to get to know her before she had bodyguards. I'll be middle class forever.

Blackout
Posted Feb 8, 2005
Well I was sitting here at my computer last night chatting away on H2G2 when suddenly something completely unexpected happened.
Yes, I know I gave away the answer in the title.
And it wasn't so unexpected either as it happened on Doobry (Saturd*y) night as well.
Anyway the power went, at around 8:30pm while in the middle of writing a post, and it was so dark that I honestly couldn't see anything we all had to go down to the sitting room where there was candles and sit around and do nothing. My father was out in the camper van playing guitar (we don't let him play in the house) and he didn't even know the power was gone until we told him. So we all sat around doing nothing until the dreaded time of 9:30pm came and went and it became obvious that the power wasn't going to come back in time for me to see the new episode of Scrubs.
Of course it came back just 10 minutes after it ended at 10:10pm. Honestly, what sort of country am I living in when the power goes twice in three days? It's just plain wrong.
So does anyone know where I can download Scrubs?
