Thanks for your kind comments. I do my best to sow the seeds of liberalism, but sometimes I despair of the way my country is headed.
To do the smiley, it's:
less than applause greater than. Like
other useful ones:
smiley
sadface
bigrin
winkeye
tongueincheek
blush
bigeyes
drool
steam
erm
huh
lol
tardis......etc. etc. etc.

Thank you! Of course, some of the commonly used smilies are shown at the bottom of the page, but others aren't so now you've shown me a way to create them.
Yes, as somebody ... perhaps you ... said in the thread, it's time to stand up and be counted. People need to wake up and recognize that old, racist ways of thinking can only lead to our mutual undoing.

One BIG difficulty being that some fail to see that they are even being racist. See: http://bonoboworld.blogspot.com for a recent example.

Yes, good example. It's so deeply ingrained into many people that they haven't a clue that their way of thinking might be lacking in some regard. The problem is that many people just don't think at all I'm afraid.
I've bookmarked your website and will return later for a more thorough look. Thanks!

does nothing. You want a double-g:
Nor is there a smiley. There's and , though.
Depending on your Internet settings, hovering your mouse over a smiley should cause the name of it to appear. The only exception is , where the hover text is in capital letters: OK, which won't work as a smiley code.
Each smiley is a link to the main <./>smileys</.> page, with the attached inline link #smileyname at the end. (This doesn't actually work anymore, because the individual smileys are on their own pages, not on the main <./>smileys</.> page. But it is another way to find the name of the smiley.)
