In four years I'm throwing an h2g2 party on my yacht and you, my dearest Bumble, are cordially invited to join us

*Thrilled, dashed and bewildered*
A yacht!? In four years!? But I have nothing to wear...!
Thanks Yos! I'm honoured!
Please tell me a bit more. Are you going to build a boat?

If only! That would be the coolest thing ever if I built the boat myself
ARgh!
I have five more minutes to go before I take this National Latin Exam and I really need to briefly look over my notes again before I take the test...
So, can I post the details later this afternoon during my lunch break in a couple of hours?

*kiss arrives*
Regarding the plans, nothing is set in stone as of yet since we have several years to go before the party begins, but I believe what I might do is sail the Atlantic and dock at a port somewhere in Southern England and from there board the party guests. I ~was~ thinking about going around the world to ports where the different guests lived near and picking everyone up one by one but...
It didn't seem too realistic...
Then again, with the plan I have know, researchers would have to find a way to get to the port in Southern England and I'm not sure if it's exactly fair of me to invite them to spend money on plane tickets to join me for the yacht party. Would this be alright with you?
Then, I think the party would be a week and a half long although in that time I haven't decided exactly where we'd sail so I'm leaving that part up to you and the other guests. All I ask is that you propose a warm place
So, that's generally it. As for a precise date I'm thinking early July is a good time of year. All your thoughts on the matter are highly appreciated, Bumble, so please feel free to tell me what you think about all of this so far

I think it's a splendid idea!
It shouldn't be too hard to drag myself down to South-England when the time comes...(knock on wood)
Of course I'm brimming over with questions, like
Are you going to cross the Atlantic (or the pond, as we say) all alone?
What kind of boat is a yacht anyway (showing my ignorance here...)
At what temperature do you consider a place "warm"...?

If it does happen (and it very well might) I'll be crossing the Atlantic with a friend of mine as I wouldn't want to tackle the pond alone, I hope you recieved the picture of the yacht, and warm, in my humble opinion, would be perhaps the Mediterranean for example...
That kinda warm
But...
You aren't mad at me for there being the slight chance it won't occur, are you?
I figure if I can't pull it off then I'm going to throw an h2g2 ball instead and, of course, any h2g2 party wouldn't be the same without you...

Thanks, I got your mail, and sent an answer too.. And I can assure you - no, I'm not mad. It's a beautiful dream if nothing else.
Mediterranean warmth, huh. That means I might have to take off my fur-coat at one point or another... We're just happy if it gets over 18 degrees Celcius in the sea..

Sorry, I just really needed a hug...
Yeah, the weather over here is insane. Every two days or so it's gorgeous out; temperature in the 60s F, really beautiful stuff...
Then the following two days it's snowing out

Tough days, Yoss?
Hopefully *crosses fingers and toes* we've seen the worst of the winter now. This weekend there was many avalanches not far from here, one of them sweapt a bus off the road and out in the fjord. The driver and a young girl(22) died.
Now, it's just this week to go and then it's Easter-holiday for me! I'm going to take the whole week off! *Checks the callender* No it's more than that, it's ... ten days... if you count the weekend, and we do! I'm going to spend three of those days in Denmark, at the Scandinavian meetup. I love Denmark!
Wish you could have been there too.

Vacation, though?
Hurrah!!!
And, although the yacht party may not occur, I am still going to take a year off in three years devoted to traveling around Europe so, perhaps I might be in the Scandinavian area in time for a meet-up perhaps. It would be so cool to meet you and Titania and Freedom and Hatifnat and Pierce the Pirate in person
Doing anything fun for your vacation or just relaxing at home?

Some people like to go to the mountains and ski in the Easter, others goes to the sea-side, getting their boats ready and getting them on the water.
I've always liked best to stay in the quiet, near-deserted city-streets. It used to be really quiet up until some five years ago, all the restaurants and pubs closed, no cinema and so forth, but that's changed now.
It's less boring but much noisier! But you can't have it both ways I guess...
I'm going to try to clean up a bit in the garden (if the rest of the snow gives up and goes away.), go to the cinema (lot's of new films coming!) eat and drink well, and spend time with friends and the family. And go to Denmark one weekend of course.
How about you? Got any plans?

Happy vacation
Next weekend I'm attending a conference at the United Nations building with the Belgian Ambassador so that he can brief me on Belgium's position on the Hungarian Crisis in 1956 since also at the conference I'm the Belgian delegate in the 1956 Historical Security Council. Then during my spring break in April I have to revise my thesis all week long so I don't believe that's going to be any fun whatsoever.
Any movies in particular you want to see?
