Between the h2g2 and RL, I had a quite nice b-day. It had been a rather busy week, so I wasn't up to any big celebration out on town, though I know they were expecting me to stop by my local pub to get my b-day . Instead we bought some Japaneese Sushi take-away and a bottle of sake home. I could see that the kid was enjoying herself, sitting relaxed in her own livingroom, eating her favourite food (salmon sashimi), and us talking about this and that and nothing in particular.
