Welcome, welcome, welcome, to the wonderful site of H2G2 (otherwise known as hootoo - you will see this word a lot). I am an <./>ACE</.>, and I'm here to help you settle into your new home

H2G2 is a living, breathing guide to Life, the Universe and Everything, and it's something YOU can take part in. You can write entries on all manner of subjects, and if it's something you think would look good in our Edited Guide (where all the best research goes), you can submit it to Peer Review. Take a look at the <./>writing-guidelines</.> for more information on that.

I've created a little list of links, just for you, so click here <./>A4992357</.> and have a look at them (actually the links are my daughter's...but hey!! Hootoo is one big family )

If you click on each link, they will take you to parts of hootoo no sane person should ever go alone on this site.....

......but as it seems no one here is sane, it doesn't matter does it!

Have a look around, pop into my personal space and read some conversations that I have on the go at the moment and you will see how things work. Don't be frightened to jump in on conversations, hootooers don't bite (well, some of them do, but I'll steer you well clear of those), just be aware of the thread you are reading and whether or not it is a private conversation between two people.

Remember, if you get lost, shout for help and hopefully I'll be around to give you a helping hand. HELP!!!!!! I am going to need it in buckets, uh no resevoirs of it. I am not really up on new fangled technology. The internet is an alien life form that I treat with disdainful respect. Its allright til all goes wrong!! Paragraphs and setups and all that jazz.

Quiet, I just posted in the AWW thread, and had a read of your personal space. I wanted to say that there is a loose network of people on h2g2 who live with illness, disability, abuse recovery, mental health/illness etc. Would you be interested in some links to threads to read/lurk on/post on? lil might help with that too as she's much more social than I am.

Have a look at the Eyes thread. It's on Terri's journal. It's quite a social thread but lots of kind people there. If you feel like posting there tell Terri I sent you Terri was one of the first people I got to know on h2g2.

The De Myelin Nation page is kind of slow but is worth a lurk. It's a quieter place to find people who are living with disability. It's focussed on people with myelin and nervous system illnesses but really it's ok to bring anything there I think.

We all have ghosts only mine are recalcitrant children and want to stay up long after they are supposed to be in bed. Do you mind if I ask who Ivan is, curious because of the little yellow sobbing circle.

Ivan was my dancing partner in a fun thread.. unfortunately, he has now left hootoo. Although I still have a lot of contact with him elsewhere

He is very greatly missed by his friends here..

I am past the days of having to chase children to bed

Chasing children to bed is an issue I will never have to face. Cannot have yhem you see. However does chasing ones inumerable hamsters count?
