Me
I live for the sense of ego shattering awe I get from realizing the infinite potential of the universe; its immense energy systems and the vast empty spaces in between them, the driving force of evolution, and the fragile balance of life.
I enjoy the sense of reckless joy-infused futility I get from knowing I that have no idea why all this should exist rather than nothing, and more importantly, why it shouldn’t exist.
I immerse my self in all art forms, which are the living essence of all of the above, especially music - made up of rhythms, cycles and vibrations - the very fabric of the cosmos.
However, my pourousness to all the above would be drastically filtered if I didn’t have the foundations of stability, security and self belief, which I've gained through the love and empathy of my friends and family – who I value above all else.
In terms of employment I’m a mental health nurse who would normally be working with people who have schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, alcoholism or drug addiction. I say ‘would normally’ because the NHS is currently refusing to employ newly qualified doctors and nurses… so I’m temporarily working for the Ministry of Justice. It’s not ideal, but it pays the bills… and I’m still helping people, albeit in a less direct way.
