Hi! You're probably very busy now, but if you have a moment, there's something I think you can help me with..
Could you give me a description of the subway in Tokyo? And your impression of it?
We got to talk about public transport and subways in particular.. smiley - smiley

How are you doing over there? Have you met any nice people? Are you homesick?
I miss you, at least a little bit... smiley - winkeye

Bumby, hi! smiley - hug

Tokyo needs more than two syllables: i move to call it Tokyokyokyo from now on. It's big enough to bear the load!
Tokyo is big, tokyo is busy and everyone's smaller than I am.
Heehee... there are many foreigners to hang out with, since you can't hang out with the japanese themselves. they never hang, it's either working till 8 in the evening, or drinking heavily in the izakaya (japanese pub).

Hanging with japanese people is only done if you are really trusted friends. if not, sober time is filled with serious posture, and drunk time is for confessions of friendship and understanding, boisterous remarks only to be retracted silently the next day under the pretext of drunkenness. It's tough making good freinds with the japanese here.

I'm going to do an article on tokyo subways as soon as I find time, so be advised for that.... more in a next posting.
How are you? Want some green smiley - tea now that you're here?

Oh yes, thank you! smiley - smiley
But you can do the seremoni another time, I'm a bit busy at the moment.....
I really can't imagine how it must be, living in Japan!

We are, as I have mentioned somewhere else, fixing the floors in the office these days. My (and my ever-absent boss') office is next in line, so I have to use the today (Friday) and some of the weekend to clear out the room. And I can tell you, right now: The paperless office is a NOT going to happen in our lifetime! smiley - bigeyes
But I get to throw huge stacks of it away now...
I don't know where I'm going to sit the next week, during the sanding and the laquering.. I wish I had a laptop so I could work from home or wherever.
*sips smiley - tea*
