Three from three

Our softball juggernaut continues. We won again. 7-3 and I batted .1000 (nice to get a hit for a change!) Our three scorelines thus far have been 7-1, 7-4, 7-3. It appears that we are only capable of scoring seven runs in any one game (no more, no less). Consistency is an admirable thing.

Softball

Softball season has started again. We are two for two so far - a blistering start to the season by our (rather low) standards.

Personally, I'm having a less than memorable start. My first game I actually got struck out. And that just never happens to me. I compensated slightly by hitting a double down the right field line, but even that wasn't convincing. I'm starting to think that maybe some preseason training might have been a good idea. Whoops, too late.

The second game, I declared myself unavailable for selection due to abnormally large tonsils. I was hoping we'd lose so that I could say that they can't win without me, but alas, no. My ego is still recovering. (The tonsils are fine though)

This is a good trick!

Well, I don't know how I did it, but I've managed to be successfully rejected for an article that had already been accepted. I'm not sure whether that makes me a failure or not. My article on Australian Rules Football was rejected yesterday despite the fact that it was edited into the grand Football joint venture some seven weeks ago. The polite reason for my rejection was: "We've already got a pretty comprehensive entry on Australian football at http://www.h2g2.com/A138368. Someone beat you to it, sorry about that."

Looks like I beat myself to it, which takes some doing, you must admit!

Going berserk

Seems I've all of a sudden got a million and one ideas for guide entries. Today, I've written entries on beach cricket and Claytons, and the netball entry is almost right.

I think I'll the next one might be about the Nullarbor Plain. (Doesn't that sound fascinating?)
